Silver Falls

So, we have had an exciting week. Well, not really, but it has been wonderful because Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday have been gloriously sunny. It has been quite hot as well, up into the 90's already. I think tomorrow it is supposed to go back to cloudy weather, so I am enjoying this wonderful weather while I can. Yesterday, to take advantage of the weather we went to Silver Falls State Park. It is about 25 miles outside of Salem, so it is really close. Anyways, it is comprised of seven different waterfalls. We went yesterday and hiked a couple of the falls. We didn't make it to all of the falls, but it was still so much fun. I don't exactly have the right shoes for hiking, so I have three different blisters on my feet this morning, but it was worth it. I loved being out in the beautiful sunshine enjoying the absolute splendor of the place. It was so beautiful, I wish all of you could have been with us experiencing it as well. Around this same time last year, we went for the first time with my mom and dad, so yesterday was our second trip to the falls. I wish I would have thought ahead of time, and packed a picnic dinner, but I didn't. I would like to go again this year, and this time I will pack a picnic for us.
